Team "FIPJP" for Masters of Petanque 2018

The F.I.P.J.P. (International Federation of Petanque and Provencal game) chose an international selection, with 4 players of different nationalities, all world champions, to represent it during the 20th edition of the most important Petanque summer event. It is a strong message, some months before the IOC (International Olympic Committee)  decides about the candidacy of Petanque and other Boules Sports as an additional sport for the 2024 Olympic Games. Through the Masters of Petanque, this team mission will be to show our sport is universal.

Two of the proponents of the title: Claudy Weibel (Belgium) and Diego Rizzi (Italy) will have the wish to defend their crown. They will be associated with two experienced and talented players who are back into this competition: Khaled Lakhal (Tunisia - 3d participation) and David Ledantec (France - 2d participation).
"The first objective of this team will be to participate into the Final Four in Istres on September 4th", said the International President Claude Azéma, who thinks this team is "competitive, efficient and homogeneous".
With the team of France (Henri Lacroix, Philippe Quintais, Dylan Rocher, Philippe Suchaud) and that of Madagascar (Tiana Laurens (Thunder) Razanadrakoto, Lahatra Randriamanantany, Allain Samson Mandimby , the 4th player will be known shortly),  no doubt  this international team will be able to ensure the show.
